Greenville Business Magazine

The September 2010 issue of The Greenville Business Magazine features a list of the “Best and Brightest 35 and Under,” one of whom is Wyche attorney Maurie Lawrence.

Kristi Keenan of The Greenville Business Magazine describes the list of people recognized as “…an ever-increasing group of young people engaged in Greenville’s future success.” She says the magazine identified “36 leaders under 35 years of age who have not only impressive careers, but humanitarian spirits that propel them into volunteer service.”

Maurie is recognized both for her professional accomplishments, as well as her impact on the community as a whole. A South Carolina native who moved to Greenville after law school at Georgetown University, Maurie’s legal practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate. She advises clients in the acquisition and disposition of property, during each stage of development and in financing and leasing commercial real estate. A member of Leadership Greenville Class 36, she has served on a United Way Impact Council; the steering committee of the YWCAWomen’s Empowerment Center; as executive committee member and past president of theYWCA board of directors; as a founding member and current president of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Upstate; and as a volunteer for the campaign that has raised over $100,000 for nurses at the Children’s Hospital. She believes “it is important to invest in our community, because life is more fulfilling when you are in involved in your community. There is much to be done to ensure that we maintain a good quality of life now and for future generations.”
