Jessica Monsell

ASSOCIATE

Jessica Monsell is an Associate in Wyche’s Litigation Team.  Her practice focuses on complex matters in business litigation, insurance, technology, and transportation law.

Before pursuing a law degree at Georgetown, Jessica served for more than 12 years as a trial paralegal at one of the nation’s largest plaintiffs’ firms in hard-fought litigation arising from air disasters. During that time, she handled cases in federal and state court and, given the global nature of air travel, transnational litigation. She brings with her years of experience in preparing complex cases for trial, and she especially enjoys working with clients to develop a winning litigation strategy.

Jessica is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Law Technology Review. While in law school, she was honored to serve as an intern at the Federal Trade Commission, at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and to the Honorable Patty Shwartz at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In law school, she earned CALI Awards for the highest grade in Civil Procedure I, Civil Procedure II, and Torts II.

Jessica earned an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and a master’s degree from Middlebury College, both in French, and she spent two years studying and working in Paris. Jessica has also lived and worked in Japan. Before transitioning to law, Jessica worked as a researcher in the Wall Street office of the French Treasury, studying trends in the U.S. financial markets. She speaks French fluently.

Jessica recently relocated to Greenville after living in Charleston for the last 15 years. She is based in Wyche’s Greenville office.
