The February 3, 2012 edition of The Greenville News features an article entitled “Greenville defense contractor sold,” highlighting Ranger International Services Group, Inc.’s recent acquisition by the Berger Group of Companies.
Ranger, a Greenville-based defense contractor providing aviation, logistics, and engineering services at various sites around the world, is now a subsidiary of the Berger Group of Companies, based in Morristown, N.J., and has been renamed Louis Berger Services, Inc. Steve Townes, Ranger’s founder and chief executive officer, will continue to run the company from Greenville. Townes told Greenvilleonline.com “We have a very strong new parent company with a global footprint and resources to help us grow.”
In the article, Townes also highlighted Wyche’s role as legal advisor in the sale. The Wyche team of attorneys assistanting with the acquisition included Eric Graben, Andy Coburn, and Natalie Dunham.
