Our real estate practice also has extensive experience in real estate finance. Wyche’s representation spans the full range of financial legal services including the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of new and refinanced credits, the workout of distressed credits, and the representation of both lenders and borrowers in foreclosure and bankruptcy cases. Our attorneys have successfully concluded transactions involving real estate secured loans, structured financing, and subordinate and mezzanine debt transactions. Our real estate finance clients include many national banks and regional banks that regularly lend to commercial, industrial, multi-family, and specialty real estate owners and developers. We also represent private companies and developers in closing both recourse and non-recourse loan facilities secured by commercial real estate. A core part of our real estate finance work involves representing borrower obtaining permanent financing from life insurance companies serving as lenders.
