GREENVILLE, SC – Wyche attorney Henry Parr has been chosen to serve on the new American Arbitration Association (AAA) Appellate Panel. The AAA formed this panel in connection with its new Optional Appellate Arbitration Rules. Parr was selected based on his experience as an arbitrator, as well as his appellate experience. Parr serves on the AAA’s complex case panel as well as its panel for the International Center for Dispute Resolution. Parr has over 30 years of experience representing clients – both plaintiffs and defendants – in complex litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Clement Haynsworth, Jr., Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and Chief Justice Warren Burger of the United States Supreme Court.
Throughout his career, Parr has presented cases to juries in state and federal courts and has also presented appeals to the South Carolina Court of Appeals, the South Carolina Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. His cases have included class actions, derivative actions, and arbitration, as well as lawsuits involving a wide range of complex civil litigation matters. Parr is an active member of the Greenville Rotary and has served the community on various boards, including the Urban League of the Upstate, the Greenville Symphony Association, and the Caine Halter YMCA. He is a graduate of Furman University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
