Alternative Fee Arrangements
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”maxwidth”][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Legal fee arrangements should not be a “one-size-fits-all” proposition. Recognizing this, Wyche has for years offered a variant of alternative fee arrangements to our clients. We have been nationally recognized for alternative fee arrangements for decades.
“Excellent lawyers who provide excellent value.” — Chambers USA Interview
We call our approach value billing and have found many clients prefer it over straight hourly billing. One way to accomplish value billing is through the use of flat rate billing, which has been a part of our firm culture for decades. Flat rate billing embodies the trust and certainty fostered by close relationships with some of our clients. When we explain value billing to a client, it is always coupled with the clear assurance that any bill is subject to the client’s complete approval and that the bill will always be adjusted as necessary so that the client is genuinely satisfied. This approach often appeals to clients, particularly to individual entrepreneurs. On the other hand, we have worked harmoniously with many clients that prefer not to deviate from their custom of having fees calculated solely on the basis of billable hours.
Our goal is a satisfied client. For those who prefer an approach to billing that is not tied merely to a listing of hours worked, we share that attitude and are eager to talk with you. We believe that our focus on the value of the work being performed; the factors in Rule 1.5 of South Carolina’s Rules of Professional Conduct; and, more importantly, our willingness to let the client have the last word on the subject of fees, makes value billing a workable approach. We have found that this approach is not only a prescription for long-range mutual satisfaction but also for mutual respect and, oftentimes, for abiding personal friendships.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_wp_custommenu nav_menu=”7″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
